Leafy Green Veggie Challenge
This one is working out much easier than I thought it would so far. The last time we did the leafy green challenge (eating at least one serving of leafy greens, four times a week), we ate a lot of kale salads, which I enjoyed, but as we're just coming out of winter, I don't generally feel like having a lot of salads. Luckily, we've found various recipes that we can incorporate into various cooked meals. We're actually doing much better than just four days per week, as there are many instances where we will have them with more than one meal a day.No Eating Out Challenge
Coming off the back of our trip to Victoria and the week off here in Wellington, this isn't proving to be a very difficult challenge either, as we were getting pretty sick of eating out for almost the entire month of August. We do make one exception per week, where we will generally have a snack of some sort after a long run (anything over 10 KM). Today was one of those days.
Sit-up Challenge
This started off a little more difficult than I originally expected given that we were in a pretty good groove there for a while. But, then we took the month off when we went to visit Canada. It didn't take too long to get back into the swing of thing, and we're pretty much back to normal at it now.Push-up Challenge
This challenge didn't have a real goal, like the 30 Day AB challenge did, when we did it a few months back. My only goal was to do as many consecutive push-ups that I could manage for three days on, and one day off.I've adjusted the challenge now, as I found a smartphone app that will train you to do 100-150 consecutive push-ups after their training program.
I'll keep you appraised on how I'm doing.
So, long story short, in the 7 days since embarking on these challenges, I'm on track!
